About Vincentian Academy

The school was founded in 1932 as Vincentian High School.

Vincentian has become one of the most popular and fastest growing private Academies in the country; from 31 Academy students in 1995 to nearly 250 Academy students in 2008.

The Academy is housed on a beautiful 67- acre campus in McCandless Township just north of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Students at the Academy participate in a learning environment rooted in the values of our Catholic faith.

Vincentian Academy, founded in 1932 by the Vincentian Sisters of Charity is a world-class, co-ed Catholic high school, in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Students are provided a quality college preparatory experience which includes International Baccalaureate (IB) as the core curriculum in an individualized learning environment. In addition to academics, Vincentian Academy provides moral and social development as well as a strong commitment to Catholic heritage. In 2008 the Vincentian Sisters of Charity merged into the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, making Vincentian Academy a member of the SCN family, www.scnfamily.org.
